Mercedes is going all out on electric vehicles. The company recently announced that it will stop developing chassis dedicated to internal combustion engines by the year 2025, and after having recently driven the 2022 EQS electric flagship, we get why. The new Merc sets the standard for the luxury EV segment (as you probably expected). Even so, the three-pointed star doesn't seem to think that's enough.

Mercedes teased an upcoming concept in a recent presentation, which it's calling the EQXX. While we have little in the way of hard details, we do know the automaker noted that part of the goal of the EQXX is to get more than 1,000 kilometers (621 miles) of driving range out of a compact car-sized battery pack—or one that stores around 70 kWh worth of energy.
