Mopar early November announced it’d retail its 807-hp ‘Redeye’ V8 as a crate engine, and rumours are Ford might follow suit by making its Shelby GT500’s 760-hp available for transplant.

When the first Hellcat crate engine came on the (after)market, the world went crazy, swapping the quickly-legendary 707-hp mill into everything from old muscle cars to tiny sports cars.

It’s all set to happen again, as Mopar drops the Hellcat Redeye crate on the aftermarket.

The Redeye version of the Hellcat engine turns the wick up to 11, producing 807 horsepower and 717 lb-ft of torque from 6.2 supercharged litres. For US$21,807, the engine ships with throttle body, injectors, coil packs, a water pump, and a transmission flexplate.
