Mini revealed the newest concept car under its brand umbrella today, the Mini Vision Urbanaut. 

It’s got a larger and more versatile interior than any Mini before it and, technically, it’s also the lightest car within the entire Mini-BMW brand — due to the fact it doesn’t exist in any physical form at all and is purely a “digital vision vehicle.”

And what good is that exactly? 

Well, according to Mini, it’s the perfect way to explore the future of the brand, particularly the way it configures interiors. The concept was designed with an electric drive and autonomous capability, but seeing as it’s a digital design file in its most solid state, none of that is all that relevant at this point. 

The real “vision” here is in the reimagining of the small car’s inside into a multi-purpose living space.
