Jeep took the covers off of a new Wrangler concept powered by a V8 on July 13, showing it off – not coincidentally – on the same day Ford’s 2021 Bronco is finally set to be revealed.
Under the hood of the Rubicon 392 Concept is a 6.4-litre (392-cubic-inch) V8 that produces 450 horsepower and 450 lb.-ft. of torque.
Accommodating the higher output of the engine is a stronger eight-speed transmission, upgraded engine mounts and a modified frame. New aluminum monotube Fox shocks improved damping and heat dissipation, while a two-mode exhaust can change the sound by pressing a button.
